PAUL F. RICE
Paul Rice was born in Jackson, Tennessee and has practiced law in state and federal courts since 1984. Practice concentrations have included hospital law, municipal law, sports law, and telecommunications law in the early days of internet and telephone competition. Sports work included sponsorship acquisition and implementation for various NASCAR and Indy Racing League teams, one project leading to a second place finish in the 1999 Indy 500. He and wife Lisa have grown kids, one a US Marine and the other married to a U.S. Marine. From a desire to help them avoid fighting oil wars, he assumed the role of "Coordinator" to promote displacement of petroleum in the transportation sector.
Mr. Rice is currently re-organizing the Clean Cities program in Western Tennessee and is moving it toward "designation" from the US Department of Energy. "Designation" allows access to additional resources and grant opportunities for West Tennessee projects.
